• How is canola oil produced?
Canola oil is made from the canola seeds or the rapeseed. Production of canola oil is done by slightly heating the canola seeds to a medium tempreture and then crushing these seeds. As the crushing is done, the oil is extracted using the hexane solvent which is recovered back at the end of the process. After extraction, the oil is refined by using the water precipitation and organic acids to remove the excess amount of gums and fatty acids contained in it.
